We can start discovering it in the maze of the Great Lakes, where each bay and hidden cove hides an extraordinary story. The vast Lake Superior, surrounded by majestic mountains and forests, is the perfect place to start your trip. Water trails lead us through picturesque landscapes, and unique flora and fauna introduce us to the world of wild nature. On the islands of the Thousand Islands archipelago, hidden in Lake St. Lawrence, you can visit the historic Boldt Castle Lighthouse, which boasts Gilded Age architecture and history.

The kingdom of wild nature and picturesque landscapes

Following the currents of the Columbia River, we traverse picturesque valleys, passing the Canadian Rockies. Here, the river flows through charming valleys, and the majestic mountains in the background attract attention, creating a unique landscape. Canadian rivers are a paradise for anglers, offering the opportunity to catch salmon and trout, which are real trophies of Canadian waters. Visit Jasper National Park to discover the Athabasca Glaciers and picturesque Maligne Lake, known for its crystal clear waters and surrounding mountain peaks.

Heading north towards the Arctic Baffin Archipelago, mountains and icy fjords reveal unique natural phenomena. With a bit of luck, we can experience the northern lights, painting the sky in blue-green colors, creating a spectacular view. This archipelago is home to seals, seabirds and powerful whales. Iqaluit, the capital of Nunavut, offers a fascinating insight into Inuit traditions and history. It is worth visiting the museum and cultural centers to explore this extraordinary culture.

Visiting the west coast, we come across the town of Tofino on Vancouver Island, famous for its constant clouds of fog but also charming beaches. This is where the surf vibe and wild nature meet, creating a unique atmosphere of this place. Nearby, Pacific Rim National Park offers impressive rainforests, and walking the West Coast Trail is a unique adventure.

Heading towards the Bering Islands, we cross the western coast. These remote islands hide wild landscapes where ice meets picturesque beaches and the local inhabitants include polar bears and seals. Nome, a historic town, witnessed the Gold Rush and is rich in Bering Sea Inuit cultural monuments. Walking through its streets, you can travel back in time to the era of the gold rush and understand the impact of this history on today’s community.

We also reach the famous Great Lakes, forming a water maze full of islands and peninsulas. We traverse crystal clear waters, stopping in bays surrounded by green hills. While there, we can witness a unique spectacle – a sunset over the lake, painting the sky with shades of a warm color palette. It is also an opportunity to explore charming coastal towns, where history blends with modernity. Thunder Bay, with scenic views of Lake Superior, lures you with its cultural scene and monuments such as Fort William Historical Park, taking you back to the times of the fur trade and colonial Canada.

Each corner of this fascinating country hides unique stories and beauty waiting to be discovered.
